About Us
Once Upon A Ballroom is a theatrical company that performs familiar fantastical tales through the medium of ballroom dance. We are located in Tempe, Arizona and are currently connected with Arizona State's Devil Dancesport. We also work with University of Arizona's Wildcat Dancesport.
Once Upon a Time...
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR- PLAYWRIGHT, OWNER
Victoria Esposito is a twenty six year old theatre artist in Phoenix, Arizona. She has an MFA in Dramatic Writing from ASU along with degrees in theatre and psychology. She currently works at The Arizona Pet Project as their event coordinator and development manager. She loves fairytales, theatre and ballroom, so one day she decided to combine them all. With the help of an amazing group of people, her dream became a reality. She has been competitively ballroom dancing for six years and she has loved every minute of it. She is currently the United States Amateur National 9 Dance Champion along with her dance partner, Nick Kaldawi.
Once Upon a Ballroom started in Tucson, Arizona as a fundraising opportunity for the University of Arizona's ballroom team, Wildcat Dancesport. After seeing how successful the productions were, Victoria Esposito decided to transform her passion for theatre into a full time business. From there she has been connecting with colleges, dance studios, and theaters in the community to create engaging retellings of classic tales using ballroom dance.
